One I had took a couple of years to go away fully, but it did eventually by itself. If it concerns you, get a second opinion as there are so many different types of cysts and things in existance, without a biopsy it can be hard to tell for absolute certain. But if it's not causing a problem, I'm inclined to say don't worry about it until it becomes a problem. If it gets bigger or changes colour or anything weird like that, then get back to a doctor asap.
