So yes, moods, sore breasts, weight gain are all possible. I had all of these & more & I only had it for 2 months! I had it taken out after I read that the anxiety I was experiecning (for the first time in my life - I am 35) was probably due the mirena.

I had also noticed : weight gain, bloating, headaches, tired, restless, hot, terrible sweats at night resulting me waking up wet, very moody, despondent. All of these have gone since it's removal a week ago. The anxiety went that same day! It just lifted, so to speak!

I would NEVER recommend it to anyone, tbh.

With it being so close to the end of the allowed 5 years I would seek medical advice on your symptoms, they sound hormonal (which the merina definitely alters). The only people I know that have had them are all still in the first couple of years.

Sorry I couldn't be of any more assistance.
