I know of some fathers and mothers too that have done some terrible things to their children and are no longer allowed by lam to see them. These parents complain that htey have to pay for the child but in my mind if they dont deserve to be a parent then they can still contribute to the child for the trauma suffered by these people.

I had a friend who's brother had a one night stand with a girl at a party and she got pregnant (deliberately). She expected the father to pay heaps for the child and he was until her sister told them (when drunk) exactly how his money is spent. From then on they deposited the amount into a bank account for the child and paid for things as she asked. She took them to court and won but they never gave her any money and upon a second go they were asked why they weren't paying and the Judge was told. She now has to give her bills to him to pay, ask him to take the child shopping for school things and present the bill for school fees so he can pay it. They offered to put the child in a Catholic school where the father would pay all expenses but the mother wanted the money instead This is a very bad neighbourhood and the Public school kids take knives to school and the education leaves a lot to be desired.

As for my story, my ex hasnt seen the child we created since she was 21 months old. I have never had a card, a present, a call or visit even though he has known through his family where we were and he could have left things with my brother who lives 15 minutes away. He wanted a boy and blamed me that we got a girl so he doesnt want her. I have never lied to her about him but now that she is older she knows more and wants nothing to do with him or the majority of his family. As I said I dont want his money but I have to take it. I look at it this way; if he doesnt want the child he helped to create then he doesnt have any right to see her or be part of her life and I dont want the money CSA gives me because it's blackmail money. She has a dad she doesnt need someone biological as well when he doesnt want to be around. I have a detailed list of where his money goes if anyone ever wants to question it but they havent so far and I feel there is no reason to do so now after nearly 10 years of no contact.

While she is being b/f he cant have her but when she isnt then he is entitled to so much time and therefore as much percentage of her money as time.
You need to see a solicitor (legal aid) and make a parenting agreement, they will tell you all your rihgts.

I didnt get anything for my daughter until she was 6 as he put in a tax return for the last 10 years then the next year he put in another then he learned his lesson as they took it all but now I get what they deem I should get from his yearly earnings (they dont know where he works) and will update it when he puts in another tax return which could be when she is 18 (11.5 now).

I dont want his money but I have been told I have to have it or I will have to pay Centresux the money he owes me. I am looking into adoption of my dauhgher from my husband and then I dont have to take his money anymore.

There really is nothing that can be done about something like that. The reason being is that if he isn't working, then he is only recieving the minimum amount from centrlink, so there is no money to give. Some dad's are crap, and don't provide, and some are good providers. My husband and I have 6 children together and my husband has 1 child who is 14 year's old from a previous relationship and he pay's $1000 a month. My husband work's hard and it's sad to see that money go out the window as we could really use it. We do not even know her or see her as her mother is married to the man that has been there since she was very small ( my hub was 17 when she was born) and that's the way her mother wants it to stay. My hub has offered that he would sighn adoption papers but the mother says 'no" as she still wants to recieve the child support. So basicly If the work they will pay, if they don't they won't. Depending on how much they earn will determin how much they pay. I would just say to everyone out there be careful who you sleep with and have a baby with.

I haven't seen a cent for my bub yet, but I've put in a claim. Not likely to be much because he only works casually and can't be bothered to apply for anything else. Doesn't want to pay because he thinks I'll be getting a manicure each week with the money. Yet we are about to go through a legal battle as he wants 50% shared custody of her as of now. By the way, my daughter is 3 months old, and he thinks I should express enough milk for him to feed her for his proposed 3.5 days a week!!

If he sees her then get him to buy her clothes and things she needs.

What I think would be better than complaning about how little u get, think more along the line on WHAT a beautiful girl u have.
