As I'm the Mum of five children (all boys), I've tried numerous nappies. With all of them, I used to use towelling nappies, except for my third child as he had intestinal hurry, and no matter what nappy he used, the results were disastrous!!!

I did intend on using towelling nappies for my youngest, but when it got to the Winter of 2008, I just couldn't keep up with the washing. I did start using Woolworths Select nappies but then they had Babylove nappies on sale quite frequently at Woolworths so I have continued to buy them and have managed to have plenty left so I've only had to buy them when there is a sale on.

I find that by a certain age, most nappies will leak occasionally, they just need to be changed more. And for night time, the best thing to do is put a pair of towelling training pants or something similar over the nappy for extra absorbancy. Either that, or change them once during the night, but this doesn't always work for everyone as there can be a problem getting your child back to sleep.

I use snugglers. My son is 5 1/2 months and has never had nappy rash or any leakage/accidents. We just get the next size up so he has some room.
We use huggies when we have spare money for the same reasons as above, plus they feel softer.

Baby love goes really crystally after just 1 pee. Coles, safeway and snugglers all give him a nasty rash. Huggies i find leak really easily but if i cant get to aldi i will use these because they dont give him a rash, i just have to change him during the night to avoid any leakage.

Nappies are different for every child though. I think its hard for boys cos there pee stays at the front where as with girls it distributes through tthe nappy pretty evenly, so the boys get full quicker.

I have a friend who uses ssnugglers and thats why i tried them, her daughter is fine with them where as ashton got the most blistere rash after the first couple of nappies. My cousin uses babylove and they work great and another cousin uses huggies and tehre good too, but they have girls.

Woolworth Homebrand here. I found they're better than Babylove, and as good as any other brand and a hell of a lot cheaper. I can't see the point in spending large amounts of money on something that is just going to get pooped and pee'd in and thrown in the bin when something cheaper does just as good a job.

I love huggies, but coles select are pretty good too. I don't like babylove nappies, they just don't fit my little one very well and I find them to be quite rough- not as soft. I think sometimes it depends on the baby and their body shape as to which ones you prefer.

I occasionally get snugglers - they have improved heaps. But I don't trust them overnight.
