I would be seeking immediate medical intervention. Your daughter needs medical help. If she suffers an episode like you have described before you can access intervention, then don't call the police, call an ambulance. They will then be able to observe her behaviour, they may sedate her and take her to the hospital, but at least then you have the opportunity to describe the ongoing symptoms your daughter is suffering. It is just as urgent as a cut that needs sutering or a broken arm, she needs assistance and she needs it urgently. Obviously those that have made the assessments are not managing her condition effectively. It is not your fault. It is a conditiion your daughter needs assistance for and as you are not a doctor or pschologist, you cannot do any more than love her, care for her and seek the assistance that she needs. I have seen many children whose behaviour has been way out of control through no fault of their own or their parents become delightful happy kids with the right medical intervention. I wish you all the best and please let me know how you fare. If you need to chat, get in touch. There is help out there, sometimes you just have to be assertive to get the assistance your daughter needs.

A long shot, but anything is worth trying, right? Do a Google search on 'sue dengate fed up' and have a look at the info on-line. If you can get hold of the book ('Fed Up') it could be worthwhile.
Wishing you the very best

Deep breathes hun, i can't be of much help, but there are several members who will be of great help to you. Keep at the doctors too, there has to be someone who is able to help you with your daughter.

Hang on, have tried videoing her behaviours and showing it back to her? We just started doing this with hours and they hate it to the point they will behave like angels for the next few days.

When I was under the effects of the medication I wasn't supposed to be on, people would talk to me normally but I percieved it as they were screaming at me and I had rage black outs just as you described with your daughter. I would scream, swear, throw things, punch doors and walls and then an hour later I couldn't remember anything. I have this funny feeling in my stomach that your daughter isn't on the right medication, this sounds far too familiar.

Keep visiting children's psychiatrists until you see results. There are many cases of children being misdiagnosed, given the wrong medication and so much more. I was misdiagnosed with a disorder for 7 years and despite telling doctors their medications weren't working noone would listen to me because they assumed I was nuts and just trying to talk them out of giving me my meds. They even increased the dosages several times when I said it wasn't working. They sent me off tracks (similiar to your daughter) and I had no control over it until I met the most wonderful psychiatrist who saved my life, took me off everything, rediagnosed me and now I live close to a normal life. Did your daughter do this before she was given ritalin? I had a doctor with over 20+ years experience give me an anti depressant for what he thought was rapid cycling bipolar disorder which the psychiatrist who gave my life back to me said it would have killed me if I had rapid cycling bipolar disorder because it would have excaecerbated hypomania and would have topped myself off (killed myself).

So as you can see it's very very important not to listen to just one person's opinion. Keep changing children psychiatrists until you see results. I promise you things will get better when you find the person who can help. If things are getting worse for your daughter then those are warning bells that the people you're seeing aren't making your daughter better!

It was a mental process where a lack of connection in thoughts, memories, feelings or actions causes a disturbance in identity. It allows two or more seperate personalities, known as alters, to control behaviour.

It's like a daydream, you can exhibit different mannerisms, personalities, gender orientation or physical changes and not even recall what happens when another personaltity is in control.

Just a thought have her doctors explored this disorder and maybe Retilin isn't the way to go, could be making the situation worse.

I wish you all well in finding out what is wrong and treatment can bring your daughter back to you.

Calling the police won't do any good - unless she runs away again and gets lost of course! Most hospitals won't do much either, although they may be able to refer you to help and assistance that will help you.
